PASMA Training

PASMA Training consists of several modules, which cover a wide range of topics. In particular, delegates will learn about the components and their assembly criteria, safety and health hazards, and stability and safety standards. This training is followed by an assessment, which includes a written and practical test. The practical test is a hands-on one which involves erecting a tower and inspecting equipment. Likewise, the written test will ensure that the delegates are familiar with the equipment standards and legal issues.

Upon completion of the course, delegates will have a comprehensive knowledge of how to assemble and dismantle a mobile tower. They will also learn about identifying and removing potential hazards. The PASMA Training course also teaches delegates about the principles of fall protection and Work at Height regulations. Delegates will also learn about how to store and check the safety of their equipment, preventing hazards and ensuring that they comply with all the regulations.

In the UK, there are strict regulations on working at height and falls from height account for about half of all workplace fatalities. These regulations are the reason why it is imperative that people use appropriate work at height equipment, including PASMA. A PASMA card is proof that you have received the appropriate training to operate work at height safely. There are no restrictions on how many times you can complete a course. However, it is important to remember that PASMA training is never enough.
